Market fairs in Tärnaby and Hattfjelldal
To welcome the arrival of the warm summer months, Hattfjelldal holds its town market and fair. Local producers, handicrafts and music all go on display for visitors. There is a market, a range of activities for the whole family and a dance in the evening.
In Tärnaby the border market fair is held towards the end of July. This is a major attraction in the region. There are many market stalls, concerts, tivoli, local produce and of course the dance in the evening.
In Hattfjelldal an autumn market is held when potatoes, berries and vegetables are harvested. This is the season of the annual slaughter and the hunt. Farmers from throughout the region come here for this event.
In Varntresk, the residents of the mountain villages and settlements can be found at the village museum on Sundays in July – drawn by coffee and waffles. A dance is always arranged on the last Saturday in July.

Her er Miss 2007.
